Q: What about reading AutoBeat Group publications on a BlackBerry, iPhone or other “smart” phone?

A: It’s easy. Use your phone’s Internet browser to go to http://autobeatgroup.com or directly to the page that displays the desired publication:

Your phone may automatically display the mobile version of our publications. If you see the actual AutoBeat Group Web site instead, look for the “Mobile Theme” button at the bottom of the page and tap to turn it on.

Q: I forgot my password!

A: If you’re already an individual subscriber, just use the “forgot password” button under the log-in box in the top right corner of any page. If you get your publication(s) through your company, please contact your company’s site license administrator. Still stuck? Send us an e-mail c/o bill@autobeatgroup.com or robin@autobeatgroup.com.

OTHER TOPICS

Q: How can I view back issues?

A: Go to today’s issue and look at the column on the right. The dark gray “Recent Issues” box shows back issues by date. Simply click on the date you want to view that day’s issue.

Q: How far back do your archives go?

A: We’re adding more back issues continually. Our goal is to post every issue of every newsletter.

Q: What if I need to see an issue that isn’t listed?

A: Just e-mail bill@autobeatgroup.com, and we’ll send you the copy you need.

Q: How can I look at issues when I’m off line?

A: There are several options, depending upon your browser and operating platform:

  • Print to PDF: If you’re using a Mac, you can convert an issue to an all-text PDF file. Display the issue you want to copy and  click the “Print This Issue” button near the top of the screen or your own computer’s Print button. When the print window opens, select the “print to PDF” option at the bottom of the window.
If you’re using a PC, you can convert the publication to a PDF by downloading and using a free third-party software program such as PDFCreator (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/files/).
  • Web archive: Some browsers let you create an offline copy of the Web page you are viewing by clicking on the issue and then clicking “save” on your computer.
  • Last resort: If these option don’t work, simply print out the issues you want and take the paper copies with you!

Q: When I print out an issue, it looks different from the PDF format you had before. Is something wrong?

A: No. We changed the print format to the same single-column format you see online.

Q: I don’t think my browser is displaying your Web site properly.

A: To view the entire content of our Web site,  your browser’s preferences must be set to allow JavaScript.

Q: How do I report a problem with the site, such as a typo or a link that doesn’t work?

A: Please e-mail bill@autobeatgroup.com
